A. My Universal Address is a global addressing system, which divides states/provinces into grids of 5m x 5m squares and assigns each one a unique address, known as a digital address. With this system, every land and property gets a permanent address.

Q. Do I have to pay to download the MyUniversalAddress application?

A. No. payment is not required to download or use the MyUniversalAddress application.

Q. How can I access the MyUniversalAddress application?

A. Use MyUniversalAddress on your computer, phone or tablet to search, explore and find your way.
On your computer, open Maps

Q. How do I use the application to generate my unique address?

A. Make sure the location button on your phone is turned on.

Open the MyUniversalAddress application and click on the button Get Address

Your unique address will appear next to the digital

address, for example, Digital address:

• Botswana:SEG1-100-2222
• Namibia  :KHWE0-100-2222
• Mauritius:BLAB0-100-2222

Q. Does precision matter when generating the address?

A. Yes, the accuracy of your address is important. Just below the address code, the accuracy of the address is displayed. Always try to have the address within a precision of 3 meters. It is recommended that you stand in front of your property to produce the most accurate address.

For example the Digital address:GA −543−0125 this indicates that you are within 3m − 9m precision.

For example the Digital address:GA −543−0125 this indicates that you are within 10m − 20m precision.

For example the Digital address:GA −543−0125 this indicates that you are above 20m precision.

Q. What is My Universal Address?

Q. How can a third party locate my property with my digital address?

A. With the application on your phone and the digital address code of the people,

Enter the digital address in the search column and click on the Search button

All the details of the address will be generated.

Click on the Route option below to navigate to the location of your specified address.

Q. How can I save a digital address in the application, for reference?

A. Enter the digital address and click on the search button

All the details of the address will be generated.

Click on the save location button that automatically saves the address in your address book to refer to the location.

Go to the address book to find your saved addresses.

Q. How can I find popular points of interest in MyUniversalAddress?

A. The search for the direction of the popular points of interest is possible,

1. Enter the name of the point of interest in the search tab
2. A drop-down menu will appear with options to choose from
3. Select the desired point of interest and the address will be generated automatically.

Q. If I change my place of residence, will I use my previous address or generate a new one?

A. Your new location has been automatically assigned a unique digital address even before you move there. You only need to access the application to generate the address of your current location, which becomes your new address.
